Description:
Linton Brook Farm is an historic comfortable and spacious house. Recently renovated it combines the best of home comforts with the romance and interest of a four hundred year old building on an ancient site.We know who lived here in 1285 AD.
The superb dining room has an open inglenook fire place and features an enormous and curious beam. Healthy appetites are catered for at breakfast which features Sheila's delicious home smoked foods. Packed lunches are available on request. Dinner can be taken at a wide range of country pubs, inns and hosteleries in and around Bromyard which together offer excellent and varied meals.
The comfortable and large sitting room with TV has an inviting log fire. There are two large double bedrooms both of which have en suite facilities and a twin bedded room with a private bathroom. Central heating has been installed throughout the living accommodation.
Children enjoy coming here and are welcome. We regret that we cannot allow dogs inside the house but as long as they are always under control they can normally be accommodated in an adjacent building. Ample car parking is easily accessible from the main road.
We can arrange pick-ups (for a fee) the airport or railway station; and also escort you to places of interest and entertainment; and guide you on local walks etc. In brief we will do everything we can to make your stay enjoyable. A similar service is offered to those seeking to drink but not drive.
The surrounding rolling countryside is most beautiful and has hardly been touched by the twentieth century. Our garden and the surrounding sixty-eight acres, dingles and the orchards are available for visitors and provide access to wonderful walks over Bromyard Downs and Brockhampton National Trust Estate and Bringsty Common. There are magnificent views on all these walks. Indeed over eight counties can be seen from the Downs.
We are members of the Countryside Stewardship committed to maintaining a diverse flora and fauna.whilst here you may see a range of birds from buzzards to fly-catchers; of animals from badgers to stoats. We are especially proud of our trees and mistletoe.
